Long after the conference has concluded, it's the connections that continue

Jay-Z Teaches You The One Secret To Connecting With A Lot of People At A Conference

Conference Networking Tips for those who want to make a lot of connectionsSpeak up if you want to connect with a lot of people at a conference.  That’s right, sign-up to be a speaker.  The bigger the stage, the bigger the opportunity.  At WDS 2012 I conducted a workshop that had about 30 people in attendance and I was given 50 minutes of their attention.  I thought that was the greatest thing in the world to be selected (crowd had to vote you in).

Shortly after being voted in for the workshop an email came through about an opportunity to speak for 2 minutes.  I know what you are thinking.  Who wants to speak for 2 minutes?  But, if you are given a choice between 2 minutes to speak to the whole crowd of 1000 people or 50 minutes to speak to 30 people, which would you choose?  Leave your answer as a comment below.

Here is my 2 minute–actually 1:48– speech from WDS talking about The Bow Tie Flow which I started to help raise money for a cause near my heart, the Brooklyn Skyhawks.  Feedback is welcome and if you are feeling it, share it conference people.

I Won’t Leave You Hanging

For so many of you brilliant people out there, you have awesome content, but not necessarily the speaking skills to take it to the stage.  I can help if you would like.  I’ve worked with several people at the corporate level (Intel) and help them take their super smart talk and turn it into a masterpiece that the audience can understand and appreciate.  You can learn more about what I do in that space right over HERE.  I’m always happy to talk speaking so don’t hesitate to reach out.  I’ve been doing it professionally for over 5 years.

As always my goal is to help you Run the Point (Take Action) from where you are, with what you have.
